Richard Wraith is a Partner and Head of Innovation and Grants at Matthews Steer

An R&D and grants specialist, Richard has helped clients secure in excess of $200-million in government funding during his 15 years in the role.

Richard has a Bachelors degree and PhD in mechanical engineering from the University of Melbourne and a graduate diploma in business administration. He previously worked in management roles in the IT industry and as the COO/CFO of a software startup that had it’s roots in Melbourne University before moving into the grants and R&D space.

Richard works with clients across many industries, including manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, engineering, agriculture, mining, technology, software, chemicals, health sciences, electronics, and the rapidly growing renewable energy industry.
